Wi-Fi Ruler 1.4.1 – Better WEP

[Edit: this version has now been released on the Android Market and elsewhere. Thanks to everyone who tested it and gave feedback!]

Much to my shock and horror I could not connect to the passworded WEP connection at a restaurant using Wi-Fi Ruler. But it worked with the standard Android settings. Looked like a bug. I looked into it and fixed it. Then returned to the restaurant and checked it.

Other minor improvements in this release:
– Maintains the position of your cursor when toggling “show password”
– If you enter 64 hex digits (that’s a lot!) for a WPA/WPA2 connection it will now be taken as a binary password. That’s the standard!
– Added D3GN_SSID0 as an access point name that should be saved by number (BSSID)

Please try this release candidate
[Edit: now on Android Market, etc]
